A discussion with Lincoln this morning

Me: Hey Lincoln, do you want to go somewhere with me today? (I want to look at picture frames.)
Lincoln: Let's go see.... Heavenly Father.
Me: Umm... we can't go see Heavenly Father.
Lincoln: Is it real far, do we have to go on a airplane?
Me: Well...yes...it is far....but, we can't go there on an airplane....we can't see Heavenly Father until we die.
Lincoln: Let's do it, Mom!
Me: We can't die....we would miss daddy too much.

I then proceeded to tell him about pre-mortal life, the creation, the atonement, and life after death. Maybe a bit much for a 2 year old to grasp, but I did illustrate with drawings.

Happy Halloween!

So, if you hadn't heard yet, Lincoln was Buzz Lightyear for Halloween this year:

He really got the hang of it this year, and there were no problems getting him in the costume. But he didn't understand why he had to keep going to houses and getting candy when he already had candy in his bucket. He was fine just crunching dum-dums all night.

Anyway, check out the full gallery to see some video of him trick-or-treating.

Songs he's been singing for a while but we hadn't had on video yet.

Grandma was able to bribe Lincoln into singing some of his favorite songs. See if you can spot some of the small variances with his personal take on Sound of Music's "Do Re Mi".

Our little Maori

Announcing.....

Baby Number 2!!

Isn't he/she cute? We went to our first prenatal appointment today, and got this picture along with a perfect heartbeat. The baby is due May 3rd, and we're very excited.

By the way, the baby is between the two plus signs; the top round thing is some sort of yolk....

Grandma makes butter cookies

Lincoln has been really talking up a storm lately, but no one is ever around to hear it. So, we caught a bit on video (after finishing some cookies):

Lincoln is getting so much better at his tummy time

Lincoln found an old pacifier as we were digging through all of our old boxes this week. He decided to be a baby again so I made him do some tummy time. It's so much easier to get him to stay on his belly now. He even did some tricks like rolling over and saying ma-ma and da-da for us.
