Lincoln has been really talking up a storm lately, but no one is ever around to hear it. So, we caught a bit on video (after finishing some cookies):
Lincoln found an old pacifier as we were digging through all of our old boxes this week. He decided to be a baby again so I made him do some tummy time. It's so much easier to get him to stay on his belly now. He even did some tricks like rolling over and saying ma-ma and da-da for us.

Lincoln tried out the Wii Fit and I think he likes it. He sure has a lot of energy, and I think this game will just give him more.
1. Hula Hoop
2. Ski Slalom
3. Yoga, Tree Pose
Oof, it's been exactly a month since our last update. Well, we've been in Washington for a week now, and really enjoy the weather. People around here think it's too hot, but they have no idea. Here's our trip with Kate to the beach about 10 minutes away:
But the best reason for coming was seeing Naomi's sister, Emily, sealed to her husband Steven and their adorable 5-month old, Ethan. Here's us at the temple:
and afterwards at Azteca with the rest of the family and a few friends:
It was pretty cool because we actually had all 6 Allan kids there for the first time since Naomi and I were married 4 years ago. Thanks so much to all who came (especially Joseph :) ). We've had a wonderful time here and are sad to leave tomorrow.
I know it seems cruel, but honestly, he enjoys it just as much as I do. And it's just too funny to deprive the world of:
Just in case you didn't believe me when I said I was going to graduate school, they mailed me some proof today (it's a Masters of Science in Computer Science, if you can't quite read it):

Okay, enough babbling. I think my next great personal mission in life (excluding family or spiritual goals, those come first by default) is to really turn some of my projects into serious ventures that could possibly take over as our main source of income. I really feel they have the potential (especially AggData, which now gets almost 15,000 visits a month), but I just need to give them the proper attention. Good thing I have such helpful sisters-in-law!
After moving into our new house, we bought a used washer and dryer from a family who was moving out of state. We were very excited to get a front loading washer since we had been using one at the Hathaway's while living in an apartment. Well, lately we have had a couple of surprises inside the washing machine.
First, I saw something sticking out of the rubber seal that keeps water from leaking out of the washer door. I pulled it out and discovered it was a hat! I happen to know someone who loves hats and it turned out to fit his head perfectly. By the way, there were also about 15 of his socks down in the seal.

That is tuna by his nose just in case you were wondering.
Our second surprise was simply a new hiding spot for our little guy. Turns out he also wanted to wash his stuffed puppy. It went through a wash cycle shortly after this picture was taken. He's such a fun, silly boy lately. The things he says now are so so cute! We need to try to capture more on video so we can share it with you.

*Edit by Chris:
Sorry, I can't resist adding one more picture... it's our cute little Jihad...

As we were putting Lincoln to bed he grabbed a wooden stick that had come in a music set and said "gum, boom boom boom!" Uh-oh, he had finally learned about guns in nursery. We were shocked and said "where did you learn that?!" Then he walked over to his drum and started banging on it with the stick. I said "what's that?" He said "Gum!" I said "what does a drum say?" He said "boom boom boom". He's so funny.
I picked up a couple of squirt guns this morning at a garage sale thinking Lincoln and I can have a water fight with them. When he saw them in the bag he said "gasp, rocket ship!" He was excited there were two rocket ships for him to play with. I must say, I was surprised, but not disappointed that he doesn't use weapons on me yet. I then instructed him on squirt gun use, but again was surprised he just wanted to drink the water or feed the plants and said "no, mama" every time I tried to squirt him. I guess we'll have to stick with hose fights.
