It sounds like they want me after all.  It's kind of nice getting accepted somewhere finally.  I guess I should have expected it; about 3 days ago, I all of a sudden got emails from 3 different professors at UTD, saying that they heard about my acceptance and wanted to know if I was interested in doing research with them.
