32 and a half weeks along

Well, I decided it's time for a little update. The baby has been super active lately. I like to feel him move so much, but it can be quite distracting during work and other activities. We went to see The Chronicles of Narnia about a week ago and he was kicking me like crazy throughout the whole movie. I kept trying to get Chris to notice too, but eventually I realized he wanted to watch the movie rather than the baby. Sometimes it feels like he's stretching as hard as he can and I can feel him on both sides of my belly at the same time. He's definitely getting stronger. Another thing that's new is how many different places I feel him in. I used to feel him mostly on the lower left side, but now he seems to be exploring everywhere. I almost feel like he's trying to get behind me sometimes. I've been sleeping better lately thank goodness. My heartburn is pretty good as long as I don't eat too much and I've been keeping on top of that better than I did in the past. My back is still pretty achy, but I don't have really bad days very often. I notice the difference it makes when I do more lifting at work and am not as careful about bending over. It is more difficult to bend over and get up from a sitting position. I feel very heavy and can hardly pick myself up sometimes. I also feel the strain of all that weight on my ankles. If I stand for very long they get swollen and stiff. I think I'm having those practice contractions from time to time as well. The Braxton-Hicks contractions are supposed to start around this time and I guess they get my body ready for delivery. Every once in a while I just feel my whole belly stiffen up. It feels kind of strange, but not painful or anything. I made Chris go with me to Babies R Us on Saturday and we bought some onesies for the baby to wear as well as onesie underwear and little booties. They're so cute!! We also bought a glider and car seat finally. Those will be shipped soon we hope. I feel much more prepared and hope to be even more prepared in the coming weeks. This is getting so exciting!
