Garage sales this morning were a bust. The only thing I managed to buy there was a baby doll to practice making smaller clothes. Lincoln of course loved it and sat with it in the car while I unloaded the stuff I had purchased at the fancy mall after the garage sales. I found 2 church shirts for him on clearance at Pottery Barn Kids for $6.97 each. I returned the mistake sandals I bought yesterday while walking in the fancy mall and bought a cheaper and browner pair. Then I bought Chris a belt, also on sale, since his other one broke. When I came back to the car to try to persuade Lincoln to come in the house instead of hanging out in the car in the dark garage all day, I saw this:

I thought it was cute.
Right now his twoness keeps us from getting in the carseat, out of the car, dressed, undressed, and especially diaper changed. For a while it worked to whistle like Captain VonTrapp from the Sound of Music, he would come marching right to me every time. Then, when that stopped working, I started telling him to smash whatever pictures were on the receiving blanket we used to change him. He would come running over to smash it with his bottom as he sat down. Today, the only thing that worked was to tell him I would change his diaper with a laundry basket on my head. I don't think I can do that every time, but it worked for this diaper.

oooohhh, a new belt! Sad
oooohhh, a new belt! Sad that I have to find all this stuff out through the blog, but I'll be home soon!!
Lol
You basket head! You have any ideas about how to get a 3.5 month old to eat his milk while he's teething? I don't think putting a basket on my head will help, although maybe he would enjoy it if I whistled like captain vontrap. Hmmm... You are funny!
P.S. I thought you said you bought 2 skirts for Lincoln...i was starting to wonder if this girl clothes thing was going to be permanent.
Whatever it takes, right?
Whatever it takes, right? You are so funny! Great post!

I loved this blog post. It looks like Lincoln is going to be a good big brother someday. That is if he would ease up on the stubbornness so you won't end up changing your mind and making him a single child!! Today on our walk I thought of how we change kids in the strollers just to mix it up and catch them off guard a bit. You are definitely a smart and open-minded mom. But it looks like Lincoln finally has turned you into a "basket-case"!!
