Finally, a summer blockbuster that has some craft. If you haven't seen any other Batman movies (like me), this is definitely the one to start on. Oddly enough, sequels are never as good as the first, even when they come out beforehand (minus the Star Wars group, obviously). Just go see the movie; don't have expectations, don't compare it to other movies, simply take it as it is and enjoy the ride. Be grateful there are movies out there that don't take you for an idiot.

How they managed such a wicked entourage of older actors (Micheal Caine, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson) is beyond me, but I won't ask questions. The action was good, but sometimes they took the darkness and fear theme to mean that they can hide everything that's going on; you just see a black cape, hear some punches, and POOF; the bad guy's on the ground. But finally, the bad guy has some motive for destruction besides an overload of testosterone.

While it won't leave you wanting to lead a better life, it's definitely worth the watch and worth getting excited about. Have fun.
