video

Some video with my new phoneo...

I got a new phone on somewhat of an impulse a couple of days ago. I had been planning on getting it for a while, but we happened to be at the right mall, and well, it's mine now. One great thing now is that I can take video with it, which is much more convenient than trying to find our main camera in the middle of a moment. So, here are some new shots I've been able to get...

Fiona has a new funny look she loves. Not sure where she learned it, though. She has been churning out full sentences recently, and she's really into Blue's Clues.

We went to the Lincoln's Preschool for a fundraiser fair today, which was very fun. Lincoln tried a sack race for the first time, and, well...

Lincoln is basically at a first or second grade reading level now, and he reads scriptures with us every night, only needing help on the most difficult words. We just hope he won't be too bored in preschool :)

For the record, my new phone is a Nexus S. It's not the very latest, but I wanted a pure Android phone with no contract.

Our little singer...

The facial expressions are my favorite:

Twinkle, Twinkle

This new camera has me excited about posting again.... wonder how long it will last. Anyway, a couple days ago, I took about 10 minutes to teach Lincoln a little piano, and he took to it very well. He practices his song every day and shows anyone who comes over. Check it out:

And of course, Fiona can't be left out:

How she's grown

Yes, I know, we've been horrible keeping this up. Well, here's an awesomely cute video that should make up for it. I hope you're happy.

Happy Turkey Day

Since it's the holidays and Fiona's been acting so cute lately, I'm throwing in another couple of videos for good measure. Enjoy:

Fiona the Faker

Yes, we've been pretty lax recently about posting, but instead of trying to catch up, I wanted to throw up a couple of recent cute videos of Fiona. (If you want to follow more recent developments, follow our twitter feeds, here and here).

Anyway, Fiona has been acting rather cute lately, and she's decided to do some fake coughing and sneezing. It seems she just loves to entertain... enjoy.

One week down

Well, it's been about a week and a half now. Things are going well, as long as we can get Naomi the rest and food she needs. Fiona is starting to figure out the difference between day and night, which is good news for me. She is starting to fill out and be much more alert (and more insistent in her demands). Anyway, here are some videos of her after the first week:

The reason Lincoln doesn't have a shirt on is because he's been taking it off to pretend like he's boxing. I'm thinking about getting him boxing gloves, but I would probably regret it...

I can't find the video right now, but I'm sure we have a video of Lincoln doing these exact same climbing techniques. I love how she attacks me with her head.

Welcome, Fiona Marie Hathaway

Well, things didn't go quite as we planned. Fiona decided she didn't want to be induced, so Naomi started having contractions last night, and Fiona Marie Hathaway was born at 6:08am this morning, April 28th, 2009. We'll put a more detailed account soon, but basically, she came so fast that it only took one good push, and the epidural hadn't even kicked in yet. She was 6 lbs. 8 oz., 20 inches, with curly light brown hair. Naomi is doing wonderfully, no complications at all. So, here are some pictures, and our favorite video of the morning:

The Harmonica and the Kazoo

The other day we were at Target and I decided he needed a replacement for the cheap orange plastic harmonica he found a few weeks ago. So, we bought him a good one, and who knew what kind of musician we've been hiding:

Notice the Yoga tree pose he's trying to hold at the cadences :)

We also got out the kazoo and had a bit of fun (who knew being a fly was so exhausting?):
