The drive was very long, but I had the motivation of seeing Lincoln again to keep me going. Everything we saw was named after Lincoln. There were even two statues of Lincoln on the way. I promise it wasn't just us. Lincoln County, Lincoln Street, a sign for Lincoln, Nebraska, etc. We made it to Wichita Kansas last night around 11 or 12. I don't remember. What I do remember is that we spent forever trying to find a place that wasn't full for the night. We finally found a place with vacancy around 1:45 and went to bed. The curtains were drawn so when we woke up at 10:00 in the morning I still thought it was dark outside. Whoops! We would have set an alarm, but the alarms had already been stolen from our room. It was ok, we needed the rest. We made it to our baby around 4 pm and he gave us big smiles before telling us he was hungry. What a good baby!
