I guess this makes me a statistics freak.

Well, if you haven't noticed, there's quite a few extra buttons on the right side. After Google wouldn't give me an invitation code for its Google Analytics, I decided to see if I could find a good one on my own. So, I'm going to try quite a few for a while and see which one I like the best. Basically, each of the buttons tracks statistics about the web page: how people get here, how many hits and when, what type of browser people are using, etc, etc. They may be hard to ignore for now, (and I might just blow up and get rid of the animated one), but at the end of the trial run, I'll hopefully provide a very informative comparison. Some of the ones I found didn't even make the cut because they were so annoying or weren't worth my time.

Each service had a free version and a "premium" or "professional" version; I'm obviously just exploring what free versions have to offer, because that's what Google Analytics will be. Also, I'm only looking at services which do not require me to actually put anything on the server, but just allow me to add a little javascript to each webpage.

Please let me know if it gets way too annoying.

I wish I knew

Chris...you are a genius! I wish I knew what you were talking about in your technical blogs. I would love to have a working knowledge of website design and WYSWIG. I am eager to learn from you. Can I be your padwan learner???
