I just added a module that lets you use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, called TinyMCE for any text field (adding content, writing comments, etc). This basically means you don't have to know HTML to make your text look good.
To enable the editor, just click on "enable rich-text" underneath any text area, and you'll see lots of buttons and options you can use to format your text and make it look great.

One more thing... if you want to see all of the effects of the formatting, then you have to select "Full HTML" as your input format underneath the text box. I'll see if I can't make sure that's the default.
